Elizabeth's Pick

The Grief Keeper

By: Alexandra Villasante

Though young adult books have the ability to be tedious or repetitive, they also have the ability to be remarkably unique and poignant. The Grief Keeper combines the timely topics of immigration, sexuality, and mental illness into a story that reels you toward the end with poetic prose and an air of mystery. It’s heartbreaking, yet uplifting. Real, yet like nothing you’ve ever read.

This is Elizabeth's last book review as a bookseller here at the store. She is leaving us to go to University of Delaware this fall. If you see her in the store during the next month, please join us in wishing her well!
