20th Annual Arizona Songwriters Festival

This annual celebration of original music returns to the Glendale Public Library! Featuring more than 72 performers on 3 stages, all ages are welcome to come and enjoy acoustic music. Workshops on songwriting basics, legal issues, music licensing, and more are also featured. Join us at the Main Library, Saturday, January 23, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM for this very special event! Glendale University 101

Community & Civic Education for You!

This free 11-session program, sponsored by Cox Communications, offers a behind-the-scenes look at how city government works. Glendale residents and those who own businesses in the city can sign up to learn more about city government directly from the Mayor, Council, City Manager, and top city staff. GU 101 classes are held 6:00 to 9:00 PM, Wednesdays, from February 3, through April 13. Class size is limited, and early registration is encouraged. Applications are due by Friday, January 22.
