July News, Events and More from Glendale Public Library!

New All-In-One Service -- Coming Soon!

Beginning in Summer 2016, all three Glendale Public Library locations will feature the Bibliotheca SmartServe 1000 — a self-check machine that allows you to pay fines and fees with cash or credit!

These new, user-friendly machines will allow for

  • Faster, more convenient check-out.
  • More privacy and greater security when paying fines.
  • Shorter lines at the service desks.
  • More staffing at service desks.

You will still be able to pay your fine by credit or debit card, or by check, at all of the Adult Service desks. Adding the Bibliotheca SmartServe 1000 will not result in any reduction in staff at the library, but will allow us to provide better and more efficient service to you.

If you have any questions about the new Bibliotheca SmartServe machines, feel free to ask a staff person!

One Month Left for Summer Reading 2016!

There's still time to read, track, and win fun prizes in Summer Reading 2016! Glendale Public Library is happy to offer two reading programs for children, adults and teens. Pick up your reading records for Tell Your Story at any Glendale library branch, and register for On Your Mark, Get Set ... Read! at www.maricopacountyreads.org.

Know Your Pin!

Starting in Mid-July, all self-check machines at Glendale Public Library will require you to enter your PIN # to check out. Your pin is usually the last 4 digits of your phone number. Don't know or want to change your PIN? Call any library branch, or visit a service desk at any library location!
