Friday, October 17th at 7:00pm

Green Fire is the first full-length documentary film ever made about legendary environmentalist Aldo Leopold. The film highlights Leopold’s extraordinary career, tracing how he shaped and influenced the modern environmental movement. Leopold remains relevant today, inspiring projects all over the country that connect people and land.

Estella Bergere Leopold, Aldo's wife, was the daughter of Eloisa Luna Otero, the daughter of Antonio Jose Luna patriarch of Los Lunas, and Alfred M. Bergere. Aldo and Estella married in 1912 and she became his lifelong partner, nurturing his esthetic sense and participating fully in the family's outdoor activities. Together they had five children—Starker, Luna, Nina, Carl, and Estella—all of whom became noted scientists and conservationists.
