Did you know that Glendale Public Library has thousands of eBooks and audiobooks? You can borrow them instantly, for free, using just a mobile device and the new Overdrive Libby app! Learn how easy it is to download and use this new “one-tap reading app” on Monday, January 8, from 6:30-7:30 PM at the Velma Teague Branch. Staff will be on hand to guide you through the process. If you’re closer to the Foothills Branch or the Main Library, you can also find help at one of their monthly sessions.

By downloading the Libby app on Google Play or iTunes, you can download eBooks and audiobooks for offline reading, or stream them to save space. Libby allows you to sign in to multiple libraries, with one or more cards for each library. All your loans and holds are consolidated on a single “shelf,” and you can keep track of your reading history in the Activity tab. If you read on more than one device, like a phone and a tablet, Libby keeps your progress, bookmarks and notes in sync. In addition to print books, Libby lets you read zoomable graphic novels, or picture books with readalong audio.
